The Records Unit handles booking photographs, arrest and charge summaries, and sheriff case records. For a current-custody check or jail operations question, call Larimer County Jail booking at 970-498-5200. The jail is at 2405 Midpoint Drive in Fort Collins. General Sheriff's Office business goes to 970-498-5100, while non-emergency information, including information about a wanted person, goes to 970-416-1985. Call 911 only for an immediate emergency.
Use these routes for common record and custody questions:
- For a booking sheet or photograph, follow the Larimer County records-request path and submit it through the official Sheriff's Records Unit.
- For a warrant that may concern you, contact the issuing court or counsel; the Wanted Fugitives page explains safe verification.
- For someone booked during the last three days, use the official booking report and current-inmate search.
- For release or transfer notices, use VINE/VINELink or call jail booking for a specific current-custody question.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Colorado Department of Corrections offender search.
- For a federal prisoner or immigration detainee, use the BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator, as applicable.
